About the club...

Mayfield Panthers Junior Football Club was formed in 2001 by John Slater and Paul Barlow; nine years later we now have a total of 5 teams operating at under 9, 10, 11, 12 and 14 levels

Over the years the club has enjoyed some super financial backing from the Football Foundation, Staffordshire Moorlands Council and even a Lottery grant, all of which has enabled us to provide equipment for the children.

Our 5 sides are strongly supported by no less than 8 managers and coaches who have already successfully been trained and certified by the FA, with a further 2 taking there FA Grade 1 badges next year! This is a truly magnificent show of strength and professionalism by such a new club and one which will enable us to attain full FA Charter Standard status.

Just think for a moment we have at least 90 children off the streets, away from their computers and enjoying the fresh air and without the clubs existence some of these children might not have competitive football in their lives and of course the sense of being that brings with it.
